You will see us refer to BUILDBASE throughout this project. We use them for the supply of most of our materials, as we have found their service and the expertise of all their staff, to be by far the best in our area.

Building A Fence

We chose a 6ft high, close boarded 100ft fence for privacy, security and a long life.

Have posts, rails and boards delivered from Buildbase.

Monday a.m. Collect 2-man 8 inch diameter petrol auger from the hire shop. Set out a string line and measure the centres. Drill 24 inch deep holes and set the posts in concrete.

Tuesday. Return the auger and collect a Paslode nail gun. Use this to fix the rails and boards.

Vincent the DIY dog

Even though the timber comes pressure treated against rot, it is still a good idea to brush wood preservative on any surface that you have cut.

Wednesday. Fit remaining boards, tidy the site and return the Paslode nail gun.
